My Frugal Miser - November 2022 Expenses

My spending in November exceeded my income.  Never a good thing, but our industry tends to be seasonal and right now is a slower time.

  • Gas for the car was just over $100, and I paid 6 months dues for auto insurance.
  • During the slow season I sometimes work meetings where our expenses are not reimbursed.  We had out of pocket costs for both the Orlando and Las Vegas meetings.
  • I was charged the annual fee for my Platinum AMEX card.  It's a big expense, but I'm writing this from the Centurion Lounge, so we definitely take advantage of some of the benefits.

Fun

We love adventures.  Spending on experiences makes us better humans.
  • We spent a little money on activities during the Transatlantic cruise including a ferry ride in Bermuda and some drinks at a bar.
  • I booked our flight to San Juan for our December cruise.

My Frugal Miser - November 2022 Income

My November income was light.  In addition to income from two rental properties I received a distribution from an apartment complex I own through Realty Mogul.  I worked two meeting jobs and I completed five Amazon routes.

November Income: $4,893

$0 Mystery Shopping/ Merchandising
$1,770 Meeting Jobs
$0 Gig Apps (Rideshare, Food Deliveries, etc.)
$499 Amazon Deliveries
$2,501 Rental Income (Rental Expenses:  $342)
$11 Interest Income
$111 Other Sources (redeemed Discover cashback)

In November I was paid the balance for the Houston meeting I worked in October.  I also received payment for a meeting in Orlando.  We finished the month working a job in Las Vegas that will be paid in December.

Investment Accounts Change in Value:  $10,345

November marks another solid month for gains.  I think markets are way overvalued and many of my investments are bets against zombie companies.
